Zero Tolerance Race
The City Hall of Arucas organised the Third Race named Zero Tolerance, to draw attention to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25th of November). Before the race there were some minutes of silence to honour all the victims of this terrible violence.
The race was open for all, children and adults where the children could run 200 or 500 meters. The adults could choose between 5 km or 7 km. There were more than 500 participants this year and I think the organisation was very satisfied.
I ran the 5 km run and it was a very nice route around Arucas and I am happy to have been able to participate in this event with such an important message.
After the race they had different side activities as climbing which was fun.
Arucas is good at organising sport events. I look forward to the Christmas Race that is held in the evening in the old town on the 3rd of January which is a yearly tradition for me and the rest of The Tribs.
