International Pi Day !
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14 3,14) around the world. The Greek Letter pi is used as the symbol used in maths to represent this constant : the ratio of a circumference of a circle to its diameter, which is approximately 3.1459.
Did you know that Pi has been calculated to over one trillion digits beyond its decimal point ? Pi is an irrational and transcendental number which means it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern.
Only a few of its digital numbers are needed for common calculations but many mathematicians try to calculate more and more digits all the time.
