World Water Day !
World Water Day is celebrated on the 22nd of March, its the day when the world remembers the 750 million people who don’t have access to safe water, but what happens the other 364 days of the year?
Here are some facts related to water which Im sure most of you don’t know or don’t realise their extent:
Water is health, many of the serious diseases around the world are spread due to people not washing their hands correctly or washing themselves in contaminated water.
Water makes up our planet, without the global water cycle life on Earth would be impossible.
Water is essential for urbanised areas, did you know that one million people move into cities every week ?
Water is essential for industry, did you know that more water is used to manufacture a car than to fill a standard swimming pool ?
Water is indispensable for energy.
Water is indispensable for food and we aren’t just talking about fruit and vegetables, it takes 15.000 litres of water to produce two beef steaks.
