April Fools Day

April Fools Day, also called All Fools Day is celebrated on the 1st of April, it is a day when people usually play jokes or hoaxes on each other, both the jokes and the people hoaxed are called April fools.

There are many versions as to where this tradition comes from originally some people believe it started in the Roman festivals and others say it started in the Medieval time.

In the UK the joke is finally revealed by shouting April fool at the person who you have played a joke on, in most countries this tradition finishes at midday (at 12:00) and anybody playing a joke after noon is the April Fool.

In many Hispanic countries this day is celebrated on the 28th December on the Day of the Holy Innocents.
