The education of a person is one of the most important things in his life. It allows us to have a culture, to have criterion about a subject, to compete for a job and many other things… So, people want to access a good education and more often when we are going to study at a university, since it will be an important part of our life where we will learn the majority of things which we will know about the studies we have chosen and normally people will work at what they have learnt at university and of course at schools.

The importance that people give to studying at good universities is considerable. For this reason, many countries give scholarships to help students access the university they choose. For example, in the USA there are many scholarships for athletes which cover all their expenses allowing them to combine sport and studies, as well as making it possible for foreign students to learn to speak English and make the previous combination easier, as maybe in their countries it is difficult to be a professional athlete while studying at university. Also, in countries like Norway or Finland, students don´t have to pay any registration fees so they are able to study at these institutions and so, more people obtain university studies.

Besides, many universities promote studentsÕ talent, for example, there are cities where they fight for students with exceptional marks, since they are interested in having good students who can do great things in the long run. This way makes it possible to improve academic excellence.

In Spain, there are scholarships, too. But, in my opinion, a point to improve is that universities should reward students with talent and excellent marks to develop their abilities and knowledge and allow them to access good universities. I mean good universities should struggle for great students and offer them good studies and accommodation in their institutions, helping with their education, so that they´d have some good opportunities that allow them to study in good conditions and develop their knowledge with these great studies.

But I hope someday this would be appreciated and Spain realises that this would have its fruits…
