The phenomenon of electricity has been studied from the antiquity, but his scientific systematic study began in the 17th and 18th century. At the end of the 19th century, engineers managed to take advantage of it for domestic and industrial use. The rapid expansion of the electrical technology turned it into the base for of the industrial modern company. Michael Faraday related magnetism to electricity. A long time before some knowledge existed on the electricity, the humanity was conscious of the electrical unloads produced by electrical fish. Texts of Former Egypt that date back to 2750 B.C referred to these fish as ” the throne keepers of the Nile “, described as the protectors of other fish. Later, the electrical fish were also described as the protectors of other fish.

Later, the electrical fish were described by the Romans, Greeks and Arabs. Ancient authors like Plinio or Escribonio, described the soporific effect of the electrical unloads produced by electrical fish and electrical stripes. In addition, they knew that these unloads could be transmitted by conductive matters. The patients of diseases like gout and headache were both treated with electrical fish, with the hope that the unload could treat them. The first approximation to the study of the beam and to its relation with the electricity is attributed to the Arabs, who before the 15th century had a word for beam applied to the electrical beam.
