The Arctic Fox

Spread the love

The Arctic fox is a mammal of the canine family. They live in the Arctic with freezing temperatures. They are carnivorous and they are between 75 cm and 110 cm. This animal is in danger of extinction.

Arctic foxes have some unique characteristics that make them stand out from other types of foxes. Firstly, they have a long warm white fur almost all the year. But, in summer they charge their white fur for a short brown fur. Secondly, they have long ears and a sharp nose. Finally, they can see in the dark and they have a developed sense of smell.

On the other hand, their diet depends of what part of the Arctic they live in. However, they usually eat lemmings, seals and, when they are babies, they also eat fish. They also eat eggs from some birds, as many as they can.

All in all, I think that the Arctic fox is a magnificent animal and we have to save it. They are in danger of extinction because of the global warming. Their habitats are melting because of the high temperatures produced by global warming.
